Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant
Release time: 2024-07-23
The Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant is designed to accommodate the construction of four large-scale nuclear reactors, with a total investment nearing 19 billion Chinese yuan. This venture stands as the largest, the most technologically advanced, and the most environmentally friendly energy construction project in the history of Hainan, China. Annually, the plant reduces approximately 2.6 million tons of standard coal consumption, leading to a substantial decrease in carbon dioxide emissions by around 7.8 million tons, smoke and dust by about 450 tons, sulfur dioxide by roughly 1,600 tons, and nitrogen oxides by about 9,700 tons, yielding remarkable environmental benefits. The project used Yufeng special nuclear power cement, with a supply of around 36,000 tons recorded by May 2024. Yufeng Cement continues to supply for the project until now.
